Fifteeth Meeting

The fifteenth meeting of the Stern Family Circle was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Albert Stern on the evening of April 2, 1948. Lawrence and Sara were absent. Minutes were approved as read. Treasurer's report is in bad shape, as for Momma's birthday two suitcases were bought and we are now in the red $7.00. Adolph reports he bought a lobster dinner for Helen's birthday. I told you the Stern's had a penchant for lobster dinners. My Mother told me she had never had lobster until she met my father . She always said it was the most expensive dinner he ever bought her because she fell in love with lobster.

Adolph also brings to the forefront an idea for purchasing a home in Miami Beach for the entire Stern family, to be bought cooperatively and at that word Fred swallowed his gum. Too many objections raised, many saying a small hotel would be better. Monty tried to talk but is drowned out by Ruth as usual. Syl makes monthly plea for another lobster dinner.

Treasurer collected $45.00 which gives us a balance of $38.00. A. takes up idea of house again and each one picks month to stay there. Meeting adjourned.

A. reopens meeting to announce Mom will be home for Passover and she thanks family for luggage. Also she got her deposit of $25.00back from the hotel so from now on any litigation or financial troubles will be handled by her. Meeting adjourned again to indulge in Bingo. Next meeting at Ruthies. Collect 1.15 at Bingo.

Respectfully submitted,

Lynn Stern, Sect.
