Samuel & Esther Stern were the parents of 12 children. The family settled in Vineland NJ & in 1947 they decided to set up a Family Circle. We the Stern Family are having a reunion this coming weekend so in thinking about the family I went through some of my Mom's old stuff. She was the secretary of the Stern Family Circle & I decided that I wanted to share these. So I thought I would publish these verbatim.
The Family circle was set up as follows:

The first momentous meeting of the Stern Family Circle took place on Sunday evening March 16th 1947 at the home of Mr & Mrs Adolph Stern, Grant Avenue, South Vineland, New Jersey.
The meeting was brought to order by the host, Adolph. A suggestion was made to form a regular organization and a note made that one shouldn't try to out do the other.
A motion was made and carried that Adolph be President, Gus Vice President, Lynn Secretary and Eddie Warren Treasurer.
The motion was made and carried that the meetings be held in accordance of age and that no meeting be held during the months of July and August.
A motions made and carried to have dues which will be five dollars a month per brother. Any married children may join the club if the wish. Temporarily there are only four.
A discussion took place of an album of the fifty-fifth wedding anniversary pictures to be given to Grandma. Motion made by Jane that the album be made and presented. The motion was seconded and passed. Little Ruth to take care of album. The cost to be twenty-five dollars.
Discussion made regarding birthday gift for Mama Stern. She wants diamond earrings. It was decided that three hundred dollars to be spent for them This was agreed upon by members. Sara appointed chairman of the earring committee.
The Treasurer's report was that dues collected by Eddie were forty-five dollars.
Meeting adjourned so that members could enjoy excellent refreshments and male members could endulge in some manual sports.
